Snaga Code is the command-line half of the platform. It reads and edits the files in the directory you start it from, runs commands there, and uses the tools you already have installed — nothing is uploaded to be executed somewhere else. Plan mode refuses every tool that writes a file or runs a command — in the dispatcher, below the model, so deciding to edit anyway just returns an error. Commands are confined to your working directory and temp where the platform has a sandbox backend — Seatbelt on macOS, bubblewrap on Linux when it can open a user namespace — and elsewhere the agent runs unconfined and says so at startup, reporting the level in force rather than the one requested — where you need confinement anyway, --sandbox-image runs tools in an ephemeral Docker container and --require-sandbox refuses to start without one. The flag that lifts confinement is called --danger-full-access on purpose.
Nothing it does is unrecoverable
Before each destructive action it snapshots your working tree with git stash, up to twenty checkpoints a session. /rewind puts the last one back — and the rewind is itself reversible, because it stashes the current state first.
It writes the tools it is missing
When a capability is not there, the agent can author one at runtime: generate Rust, compile it to WASM, register it without a restart. Published tools install from the SPEC registry, gated by a trust policy you control.
Drive it from your phone
snaga connect pairs a machine with your account; the web and mobile clients then send it work. Anything dangerous asks for approval on your phone, and the policy is fail-closed — only an explicit Approve allows. A refusal, a timeout and a dropped connection all deny.
